Sylvia Bonaguidi

 


GALLUP — Funeral Mass for Sylvia Helen Bonaguidi, 91, will be 10 a.m., Monday, May 9, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Gallup. The Rev. Keller Matthew will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Sunday, May 8, at Cope Memorial Chapel. A rosary will be recited 9:30 a.m., May 9, at Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Bonaguidi died Tuesday, May 3, 2011, in Grants. She was born Nov. 15, 1919, in Flora Vista, Colo.
Bonaguidi was lifetime resident of Gallup. She was co-owner of City Electric. She was active with the Catholic Church and a member with Women Auxillary.

Survivors include her son, Louis Bonaguidi of Gallup; daughter, Lorraine Menapace of Gallup; sister, Mary Riffle of Aztec; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

Bonaguidi was preceded in death by her husband, Sesto Bonaguidi.

Gary Carlisle

GALLUP — Funeral services for Gary Thomas (Tom) Carlisle, 75, will be 10 a.m., Monday, May 9, at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup. The Rev. Jay McCollum will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup. Visitation will be before services, May 9.

Carlisle died May 3, 2011, in Gallup. He was born Feb. 5, 1936, in DeMossoille, Ky.

Carlisle graduated as a mining engineer, S.D. school of Mines and Technology, 10 years in Air Force as an enlisted man sold air condintioning for large office buildings, mining engineer in New Mexico and Colorado for 10 years as an Engineer for PHS. He loved to fly and build his own gyro airplane.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Carlisle; son, Kirk Thomas Carlisle; daughter, Margaret Kelly Carlisle Carver; brothers, Robert G. Carlisle of Morning View, Ky., John R. Carlisle of Branson, Ky.; sister, Nancy R. Carlisle Willenborg of DeMossville, Ky.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Carlisle was preceded in death by John D. Carlisle, Nancy Pearl Russell.

Pallbearers will be Robert Carlisle, John Carlisle, Craig Carver, Vincent Carver, Lyle Woodward, Jon Cordova.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Carlisle home, 3 mile maker on Highway 118, Manuelito, NM.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
